General
This post is intended for a Fellow interested in high-risk, high-parity Obstetric Anesthesia. Your post will be in the Maternity and Women’s hospital, where you will gain clinical and research skills among our unique highly nulliparous, advanced maternal age, immigrant Tel Aviv population. Our women hail from diverse Ethnic and Religious backgrounds, with strong cultural beliefs that dictate many aspects of labor management. You will learn technologies and management strategies for our Obstetric patients. You will work closely with Faculty, Residents and Midwives.
Knowledge of Hebrew is necessary.
Clinical
The Anesthesia department has multiple educational programs including morning grand rounds, structured resident teaching and a multidisciplinary in-situ simulation program in the operating rooms. Advanced anesthesia services include an acute and chronic pain management unit, obstetric anesthesia services, a comprehensive sedation service and the General Intensive Care Unit.
Hospital
The Tel Aviv Medical Center (TLVMC) is the largest medical facility in Tel Aviv. Over 100,000 patients are treated monthly in our quaternary medical centre.
The Lis Maternity and Women’s Hospital manages over 12,000 annual deliveries with a 20% cesarean delivery rate, and over 6000 gynecological procedures.
The TLVMC runs 30 operating rooms plus many out-of-operating room services such as sedation in the MRI and endoscopy suites.
